Welcome to the Royal Gorge Detachment of the Marine Corps League, nestled in the heart of Cañon City, Colorado. As proud stewards of a tradition that dates back to 1923, our detachment embodies the spirit of camaraderie, service, and patriotism that has been the hallmark of the Marine Corps League since its inception by Major General John A. Lejeune.
The Royal Gorge Detachment is a vibrant community of Marines and Fleet Marine Force (FMF) Corpsmen, spanning the ranks of active, reserve, retired, and honorably discharged members. Our diverse membership, which exceeds 100 individuals, hails from southern Colorado's picturesque locales, including Cañon City, Florence, Penrose, Brookside, and Lincoln Park. We stand united by the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor - symbols that forever bind us to the Corps and to each other.
